bulletServed in the Air Force from 1960 to 1985.   Traveled extensively overseas which included tours in Vietnam, Germany, and Japan.
bulletFirst marriage ended in divorce after 10 years but not before producing 2 wonderful children.
bulletBarbara and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in 1999.

Clinical Approach For Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Counseling

A general description of my methods of helping clients is a high degree of interaction between the client(s) and myself. Counseling is directed primarily at modifying distorted or maladaptive thought processes and related behavioral dysfunction's. Together we identify and modify internalized debilitating automatic thought processes. Develop adaptive rather than maladaptive schema(s) around current intra-inter personal communications and the affected relationships. Procedures utilized to accomplish the above vary and are numerous. Here are a few:

Knowledge around family systems, family of origin issues, Christian beliefs, professional ethics, medical model, devising solutions, and personality types (differences and similarities) are incorporated into our Therapeutic approach.
